Why Do I Need Travel Insurance

Should I Have An Insurance Policy ?

There are many sorts of insurance, such as automobile insurance, fire insurance, Health Insurance, Travel Insurance, and life insurance, to name simply a few. Because of the fact that having insurance involves paying money up front to have some financial protection in case an event ever occurs, it is common for individuals to be uncertain to actually secure an insurance policy. The best way to handle if you should obtain insurance is to weigh the related aspects to determine whether it is reasonable to forego it and take the possibility that one day you will be faced with a significant financial liability.

The Appropriate Aspects in Deciding Whether to Get Insurance

The best way to convey the relevant factors applied in the weighing process are to provide hypothetical examples  which reduce light on them.

Think, for instance, that Jane and Jonathan, who are next door neighbors, are each considering whether or not to acquire health insurance. Jane, thirty years old, has been healthy all her life, routinely works out, and keeps away from junk food. Further more, there is no hereditary health problems in her family. She is single, and receives a five-figure income from her company.

Jonathan, who is also 30, is married to Mary, and they have five children, all of whom are minors living at home. In contrast to Jane, Jonathan has no desire to workout, and quite frankly, takes any meals that is placed before him,  no matter of its nutritional value. As a result, Jonathan is obese. A skilled goldsmith, Jonathan works for a firm that gives him a $ 30,000 wage. His wife does not work, spending almost all of her time caring for the their children. Though Jonathan has no known diseases, there is a background of diabetes in his family.

In assessing whether to obtain health insurance, both Jane and Jonathan should take into account these relevant aspects:

1) Their present state of health;

2) Whether their routines are conducive to being healthy in the future;

3) Whether there is a family record of illness;

4) Whether they will have the financial means to pay for health care should they get a serious disease in  the future; and

5) Whether a serious illness will have a significant financial influence on their immediate family.

Jane is very healthy, and her lifestyle is attentive to staying healthy. Aside from that, there is no history of health problems in her family. Though Jane may one day be confronted with a disease or other problem requiring health care, her income is such that she most likely to be able to pay doctor expenses without third-party  assistance. And, being single, Jane has no need to be troubled that she will not be able to provide for others if she one day gets to be critically ill.

In contrast,Jonathan, in weighing the related factors, has to admit that his shortage of concern for his health, his obesity, and his family’s history of diabetes do not bode well. Though Jonathan has a regular income, it is required for bills to raise his 5 young children, and for the each day expenses that he and  his unemployed wife have. Unlike Jane, should Jonathan come down with an illness in the future, the medical expenses to treat it could possibly be such that his children and wife will not have enough money for daily  {expenses|bills}.

The Security of Insurance

At its core, an insurance policy is a means through which the policyholder is able to tap into other  financial resources if they are ever needed. The benefit that insurance provides is relative to the  policyholder’s need. That is, the larger the need, the greater the benefit. Even though everyone hopes that they will never have a calamity requiring them to call upon their insurance, it is a security blanket in the event  that one does occur.

Summary

As originally stated, the question of whether to obtain insurance is one that each individual should decide for himself. There is no magic answer to the question, but a reasoned weighing of the aspects related to the form  of insurance being considered is a valued way to find out the answer to the issue.

Should I have an insurance policy ? I have to decide it myself.
